		Church Office is Closed This Week Pastor Dave is on Mission Trip and Pam Konopasek is at the Regional School as treasurer for the Western PA Conf. United Methodist Women. Barbara Stoehr at 412-952-0537 Vacation Bible School Registration Time Join our fun at our Vacation Bible School this summer. It will be held from July 20^th – July 25^thfrom 6:00pm-8:15pm. Camp E.D.G.E. is our theme. All campers should be ready to start at 6:00pm sharp, so please arrive at the church a little early. Registration forms will be on the narthex table. If you have any questions, please call Sandy at 412-486-2032. This action packed week is provided free of charge! All the children of the community from 4 years old to 4^th grade are encouraged to attend. ---------- If the above week doesn’t work for your schedule or you’re looking for another VBS opportunity, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is hosting their program July 12^th – July 16^th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Children 3 years to 6^th grade are welcome to attend. Cost is $10 per child. Please call Jackie at 412-963-9494 ext 306 to register. Door Fund The wooden doors at the entrance of the church are not exterior doors. As a result they are becoming weathered and should be moved to the inside archway. A recent bid was received to place new glass doors at the front entry of the church for $3000. The Finance Committee is establishing a fund to complete this task. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please mark your gifts “door fund”. Help Needed: Blacktop sealing The driveway and parking lot of the church is in need of patching and sealing. Several bids have been received and they begin at $13,000. Unfortunately we don’t have money in the budget for this requirement. As a result, we plan on performing the sealing and line painting ourselves. The tentative dates selected were Sunday afternoon, July 26^th and all day Monday, July 27^th. Volunteers are needed! Tar and brushes will be provided. Please plan on helping out. Contact Pastor Dave or Bob Amsler if you have any questions. Longue Vue Garden Tour Come out and see the beautiful Gardens at Longue Vue. Tuesday, June 30^th starting at 9:30am. The cost is $32 for the tour and lunch. Please register by using the sign-up sheet in Narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Jeanne Hackworth. Church Volunteers Needed The church is in need of a volunteer helper for the Children’s Hour each Sunday this summer. The class is held during the 10:00am worship service in the choir room located downstairs next to the office. Please see Sandy Vaughn if you would like to help out. All children 4 years and up are welcome to attend the Children’s Hour. Cooperative School of Christian Mission Grove City College – Adults, youth and children welcome Spirtual Growth Study: “Food and Faith” Mission Study choices: “The Beauty and Courage of Sudan” & “Giving our Hearts Away – Native American Survival” Sessions available July 13-17; July 17-19; sampler days July 14 & 18. Registration forms available on the UMW table in the narthex and in the church office. Children and Youth participants may request campership funds to attend. Volunteers in Mission Needed Watsontown UMC is taking a step in faith by constructing new church. Volunteers are needed to assist with framing and drywall.
